"Go ye into all the world, and preach the Gospel to every creature.” Mark 16:15

GOOD NEWS TENT
During the summer of 2005 Child Evangelism Fellowship purchased a tent which we call the Good News Tent.

We set up the tent during centennials, fairs, or any activity with a large gathering of children. In the Good News Tent we do face painting, make balloon animals, and share the Wordless Book story (How to Get to Heaven).

If you are from a community where there will be a gathering of children next summer and you would like us to come, please contact us and we will see if we can work it into our schedule.

Last summer some of the young people who attended Christian Youth In Action and worked with CEF for the summer helped with the Good News Tent. We asked people to pray that we would be a good testimony as we shared at the Langdon Music festival. Eight of our summer workers came out to help us. They were a great help and truly a good testimony for the Lord and for CEF. When we arrived, someone had taken our assigned spot so we were moved to another location. The new spot was less protected from the wind but it was where the children would see the Good News Tent.

The young people all pitched in to help set up the tent, but we were having lots of trouble keeping it from blowing away. We put bricks on the feet and tied the tent to the van, but it still wanted to blow away. It was after 10:00 before we were ready for children. At one time we just stepped back to see what was happening. Two of the young people were anchoring the tent down (literally they were holding the tent so it would not blow away), one was sharing the Gospel with a couple of kids, one was counseling a girl for salvation, 3 were face painting, and one was out inviting the kids in to the tent. We were so blessed to see those young people at work. Each one was doing his/her part so the Gospel could be shared with the children. I did not hear one person complain about the wind, heat, dirt, or anything. Nobody said, "I wish I could have a more important job." We did not need to keep telling them what to do. They just looked for what needed to be done, and they did it. We could not help but think -- this is the way the body of Christ ought to function. Truly these young people were a great example for the Lord and for CEF.
