WHAT ARE BIRTHDAY PARTIES FOR JESUS?
During the month of December we hold Birthday Parties for Jesus. A Birthday Party for Jesus is one hour of teaching. The children hear the Christmas story in a unique manner, sing songs about Christmas (many are to familiar tunes), learn a Bible verse which goes along with the lesson, and enjoy a fun review game. A birthday cake or birthday cupcakes are shared to celebrate the birth of Jesus. Each child receives a bag of prizes.

PURPOSE
The purpose of the Birthday parties for Jesus is to tell boys and girls that we celebrate Christmas because it is when Jesus was born and also to bring the life-changing message of salvation to the children.

WHERE ARE THEY HELD?
The parties are held in neighborhood homes, churches, schools, community buildings, and other locations.

WHO MAY ATTEND?
Children in grades 1 through 6 are invited to attend and bring as many friends as possible. There is no charge. Check out the Happenings page to see if there is a party near you. If there is not and you would be interested in hosting one or helping us find a location near you please contact us.

In the Good News Tent I watched as ten year old Susie* was listening to Amos share the story of the Wordless Book with a young boy. She kept getting closer and seemed to want to hear what was happening. I asked her if she had ever heard the story of the Wordless Book. She said she was in the tent earlier and heard the story. She also told me that she was saved last year at the Birthday Party for Jesus when we were in her school. We listened in on the young boy who was hearing the story of the Wordless Book. The young boy seemed very serious as the summer missionary was sharing Bible verses about sin and what Jesus did to pay for his sin. We heard the boy pray and receive Jesus as His Savior. Susie was beaming as she told me that young boy was her brother. She brought him to the tent so he could hear about Jesus.
